I'm planing to do something this winter, but keep trolling the threads and I'm a bit vapor-locked.. so much info, but without riding in one, can't settle on anything.

There's at least one RFT equipped car local. PM mlandolt8.

05RC51 is correct, I have one in your area. I will be in and out of the city in the next few weeks, so maybe we can find a time to meet and take you for a ride in it. PM me and we can work out details.

I've got a few days of comp time coming soon; perhaps I can meet you in Birmingham or something and show you the Fab9 kit :) Maybe hook up with mlandolt8 for a compare and contrast, because I'd love to see Jay's RFT!

I'de definitely drive over to bhm to see the Fab9 kit... that's hand-down the best looking kit, it's almost too pretty to risk driving. Do you know what dates yet? Barber, I assume?
Hoping to meet up w/ mlanolt8 after xmas.

If you want to come to Atlanta for a night, I can provide a couch, good food, good beer, and good people to talk about NC's with.

Sounds like it would be a lot of fun; I see at least five NC's who would be able to come cruise around. I'm known to show up with decent bourbon when invited to overnight outings :)
I *really* need to buy some all-season tires before I come visit. The car is now bordering on unsafe to drive with the combination of cold air (boost loves cold) and nearly 8-year old OE tires having about 5/32nds of wear left. I stomped 3rd gear at ~40mph on completely straight and level onramp into 240SB this morning; both rear tires spun until I left off at 70mph... The tires NEED to go :)

<3 my BFG Pro Comp A/S
Other people really like the Pilot Sport AS3's, though they are a bit more expensive than the BFG's

Costco rotates through their various tire brands for their monthly "sale"; this month is Bridgestone, last month was Michelin. I slapped a set of Pilot AS3's on my '14 Mazda 6 last month and have been happy with them so far.
Was thinking of doing AS3's on the stock wheels and then buying a set of super-summer tires (very likely, Pilot SS) and new wheels in the spring. Good thing is, good stock-sized all-seasons on the Miata are a solid $300 less than my Mazda 6 :D

I run Michelin AS3 205/45/17 year round and LOVE them. I have separate set of wheels and tires for the track.

Bah, screw it, just bought the Pilot AS3+'s from Costco's website. Now it's time to go do burnouts and donuts in the old crap tires :D

I noticed a big improvement in cold-weather traction when I switched from old OEM Bridgestones to AS3+'s, but they are no match for the engine when it's on boost in gears 1-4. I'm really looking forward to warmer weather and big summer tires!

Yeah, I have my heart set on either CE28SL's, TE37SL's or the new ZE40's in the 17x8.5 +48ET size and some 235 summer rubber. It will happen, just not in December ;)
I still wanted all seasons for the stock wheels so I can still drive it in the colder months.
